Arys is a place for athletes, families and coaches to train, improve and enjoy sport. Many of our athletes are children. These guidelines apply to everyone on the Platform, including in messages, squad chats, reviews, profiles and uploaded content. They form part of the Terms of Use.
1. Our values
1.1 Safety first. Every child should be safe online and at training.
1.2 Respect. Treat everyone with courtesy, whatever their age, ability, background, gender, culture, disability or sexuality.
1.3 Honesty. Be truthful in profiles, reviews and referrals.
1.4 Fair play. Respect coaches' work and other people's privacy.
2. Keep children safe
2.1 Do not do anything that puts a child at risk. This includes:
(a) any sexual content involving a minor, or any sexualised comments to or about a minor;
(b) grooming behaviour, such as seeking secrecy, giving special gifts, or trying to move a child to private channels;
(c) asking a child for personal information, photos or their location; and
(d) sharing photos or videos of children without parent or guardian consent.
2.2 Coaches must keep all communication with minors on the Platform, where it is visible to the parent or guardian. See the Child Safety Policy.
2.3 If a child is in immediate danger, call 000. Report any other concern using the Report button. Child safety reports are reviewed within 2 hours.
3. Be respectful
3.1 Do not:
(a) bully, harass, threaten or intimidate anyone;
(b) post hate speech or discriminatory content;
(c) body-shame or mock anyone's ability, appearance or progress;
(d) swear at or abuse other users or coaches; or
(e) encourage violence, self-harm or dangerous training practices.
3.2 Healthy competition and honest feedback are welcome. Personal attacks are not.
4. Squad chat
4.1 Squad chat is for team messaging only. There is no public feed.
4.2 Keep squad chat about training, sessions and team matters.
4.3 Do not share other members' contact details, health information or images outside the chat.
4.4 Coaches are responsible for moderating their squad chats and acting on inappropriate messages.
5. Be honest
5.1 Do not:
(a) create fake accounts or impersonate anyone;
(b) give false information, including your date of birth;
(c) post fake reviews or offer or accept incentives for reviews;
(d) refer yourself or game the referral program; or
(e) make false claims about qualifications, results or verification status.
6. Respect coaches' content
6.1 Coaches' drills, videos and programs belong to them.
6.2 Do not record, screen-record, download, share or resell coach content. Do not share your login so others can access it.
7. Protect privacy
7.1 Do not share anyone else's personal, contact or health information without permission.
7.2 Coaches must only use athlete information, including medical notes, to coach safely.
8. No illegal or harmful content
8.1 Do not post anything that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights.
8.2 Do not promote banned substances, performance-enhancing drugs, gambling or unsafe weight-loss practices.
8.3 Do not post spam, scams, or links to unrelated products.
9. Keep transactions on the Platform
9.1 Pay for bookings and memberships through Arys. Off-platform payment requests can be a sign of a scam.
9.2 Never share card or bank details in messages.
10. Reporting
10.1 Use the Report button on any profile, message, review or content, or email contact email. We review child safety reports within 2 hours and all other reports within 24 hours.
10.2 For child safety concerns, email child safety email.
10.3 For serious online abuse, you can also report to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au.
10.4 We keep reports confidential where possible. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith.
11. What we do
11.1 If someone breaks these guidelines, we may:
(a) remove the content;
(b) give a warning;
(c) restrict features such as messaging, reviewing or booking;
(d) remove the Verified badge or hide an organisation from the directory;
(e) suspend or permanently close the account; and
(f) report the matter to police or other authorities.
11.2 We decide what action to take based on how serious the breach is, whether a child was involved, and any past breaches. Serious child-safety breaches lead to immediate suspension.
11.3 If we take action against you, we will tell you why where it is safe to do so. You can ask us to review the decision by emailing contact email within 14 days.
12. Changes
12.1 We may update these guidelines and will tell you about important changes.
